Art Cloth in the Seventh Street Windows - Charlotte NC

In January of 2008 the McColl Center for Visual Art awarded Janet an exhibition opportuntiy to show a new collection of Art Cloth in six windows on 7th Street between North Church and North Tryon Streets in Charlotte, NC. The six-month period included three sepearate groupings based on ethnic textile images from West Africa, Oceania, and Mesoamerica.

Sewn Art Sketchbooks

Sewn Art Sketchbook Project is centered on the creation of experiments that combining use of stitch forms with other techniques such as appliqué, collage, painting, photographs, printing, and use of found objects. Currently members of the project are working on collaborative themed sketchbooks. Here are some examples of the pages from some of the books.
